What hours are Camp Alexander open for Summer Camp?

Camp Alexander is open from 7:30 am – 5:30 pm. Campers may not be dropped off any earlier than 7:30 am and should be promptly picked up no later than 5:30 pm. Parents should expect a fee of $10 for each 15 minutes that the pickup is late, beginning at 5:31 pm as we are required to have staff on overtime.

When is the last day to make make a payment?

A deposit of 50% of Camp fees is due at the time of registration. The remaining balance must be paid at least 3 weeks prior to the first day of each camp week. Payments may be made by logging into your online account. With a 14 day written cancellation notice before the first day of the camp week, fees will be refunded minus a $20 processing fee.

What are items that campers are NOT allowed to bring to camp?

Campers are not allowed to bring any gaming systems, cell phones, electronics, valuables or weapons of any kind.

What are items that campers NEED to bring to camp?

Campers need to bring sunscreen and bug spray for reapplication.  Water bottle is a must!  Wear closed toed shoes, bring water shoes, towel, swimsuit.  Each child will have a locker to keep their stuff stored.

What if my camper needs medication during camp hours?

If a camper takes prescription medication that needs to be administered at camp, the parent/guardian must fill out appropriate paperwork which will need to be signed by a physician. Campers should not bring non-prescription medications to camp.

What happens in the event of inclement weather?

Camp Alexander has a Storm/Tornado shelter on site. Staff members will ensure that in the event of sever weather, campers will be escorted into the appropriate building. There are large, enclosed building on site that can be used for indoor activities in the event of rain or weather changes. All camp counselors will carry walkie-talkies and will keep in communication with the main office where one of two weather radios are located. Office personnel will also ring the announcement bell which can be heard in all areas to signal that counselors need to escort campers back to the main areas.
